Omschrijving:
Goals, Duties and responsibilities of the job holder:
1. Product Customisation and Engineering
• Customization and engineering to match product functionality with customer requirements (major business customers, BEU IMD Office/Production Printing Groups);
• Analyse organisation or customer specific requests, design and publish related software specifications to create a solution for the customer;
• Project support from software engineering activities amongst major business customers, and possible 3rd party developers (ISV’s) to deliver tailor-made solutions to the customer within the required project time-frame;
• Development and testing of specific control software for peripheral equipment;
2. High Level Technical Support for Major Account Business
• Offer state of the art technical knowledge for specific software products and solutions (PageScope Suite, other common utilities, non-Windows OS’s (Linux, Unix, Mac OS, IBM, SAP …) and different Network Operating Systems;
• Provide high-level technology information and inform/coordinate with National Operation Companies/ Office/Production Printing Groups, in relation to Major Account Business opportunities;
• Deliver required specialized technical training to Sales Area Sales Engineers to continuously improve their technical knowledge in order to optimise Major Account Business;
3. Localisation Support
• Customization and engineering to provide European versions of the organizational Software;
• Provide high-level technical expertise to the Office/Production Printing Groups and on European Local issues (localization, fonts, user interfaces, ..);
• Assist BEU Documentation Group on European localization issues for software and peripherals;
4. Additional tasks
• Special tasks on the instruction of the superior

Knowledge and Skills:
• Minimal bachelor level in computer hardware- software engineering with 0 years job experience, or 5+ years job experience in similar position in case of lower than bachelor level;
• Basic knowledge of B2B business- and technology developments in major European countries;
• Excellent technological knowledge of PC’s running Microsoft Windows Suite and Apple MacOS as well as scanners, printers and peripherals used in the B2B business environment;
• Sound knowledge of programming environments like C++, C, Assembler as well as operating systems (Unixand NOS’s);
• Experience in developing specifications and control software for peripheral equipment from various manufacturers
• ICT knowledge and experience related to Workstations, Servers and Networks is a pre
• Execute with precision and accuracy, showing necessary attention to detail;
• Fluent English skills, other European languages is appreciated, team player.
